Eco Living with style. Viva Terra has some great earthy-products. Their website says: “living earth is inspired by our dedication to living in harmony with nature - for a healthier life now and for future generations.” Nice Job.
While their lines do have an “earthy” feel to them, it’s pretty refreshing. I can see a lot of their furniture and accessories in second homes, like a cabin or beach home.
The beautiful baby boutique Elsa Bella is having a trunk show tomorrow from 12-5. Hundreds of their products and new lines will be available. While their logo is quite girly, they do offer boys lines as well– very cute skater-style lines. I’d check them out. They located at 411Bristol Court, in Alpine.
If you’re an out-of-stater, they have an online boutique as well. They can be found here. Happy Shopping!
It’s my birthday today. And the only important thing I’ve planned is lunch with a girlfriend, and a manicure and pedicure. I’m going to enjoy my day off. Tootles!

Unlike most professional athletes homes that are adorned with gody interiors and tacky trophy displays, this athlete’s home is built with some serious class. An article in the July issue of Architectural Digest has an article on Lance Armstrong’s Austin home. Built with timeless architecture, modern updates, and contemporary furniture, this home is beautiful.
Things I love: the landscaping is amazing.
I love this shot. Since the weather in Austin is nice most of the year, making use of the outdoor space is great. This doesn’t even feel like a patio, I love the thought of drapery and chandeliers for outdoor spaces.
Although the kitchen is pretty masculine, I like the industrial touch with the light pendants. I also like the way the family photos are displayed above the mil work.
I like the way he displays his Tour de France jerseys. Seven years in a row. Wow.
I’m a big fan of soft contemporary design: design with clean lines and simplicity that still is warm. This room epitomizes soft contemporary.
I’ve been really bad at keep ya’ll updated with the Nie Nie Auction. Sorry. If you missed what I’m auctioning off, you can read the original post here.
It is now up to $250. The bidding will close at the end of the month. So donate money people!! This is for a good cause. Anything that is raised will go towards this family. Thanks for the love!
I think a renovated barn would a great second country home. Simple. Rustic. Charming. And beautiful scenery. Ahhh… The barn people have done some great work renovating old barns and making simply beautiful.
I love how they keep a lot of the typical “barn features” with high ceilings, beams, and even original flooring in some cases. Lets just hope they did some major cleaning/sanitizing for where the cow stalls were.
We don’t have any kiddos yet so correct me if i’m wrong: Dirty diapers stink…big time. I’ve been around families that have dirty diapies hanging around the trash and it’s just gross. Good news folks. Embrace the world’s first flushable diaper, the gDiaper.
For the last 40 years there have been but two choices in diapers. Cloth or disposable. That’s it. Now gDiapers offers a third option. Flushable. gDiapers puts waste where it belongs, in the toilet. Not the landfill.

The Anti-theft Lunch bag seems to make perfect sense to me.
If you’ve ever had your lunch stolen, you know the frustration and anger it causes. You know the revenge and ill-will it inspires. And you know that no matter how well you try to hide your lunch bag at the back of the refrigerator, something’s gonna be missing when you open it. Well, lament no more. The Anti-Theft Lunch Bag to the rescue . . .
Anti-Theft Lunch Bags are regular sandwich bags that have green splotches printed on both sides. After your sandwich is placed inside, no one will want to touch it.

Designer and artist Claire Coles does some awesome embroidery. From her website:
Sourcing vintage wallpapers from markets to charity shops, ranging from acid flocks to floral patterns, Claire cuts, layers and machine stitches these papers together to create a range of different scenes and illustrations. Stitching together various textures and patterns creates an intricate and layered effect within her designs.
About her porcelain works:
Each cup and saucer is either intricately hand embroidered or inlaid with patterns of doilies and flocked wallpaper.
I’ve had a bunch of pics saved for a while now…finally getting around to posting some.
If your place is kinda small and you need more seating for those Friday night movies.
I’ve been on a “traditional with modern” kick lately. I’m a big fan of timeless, beautiful, traditional architecture with modern furnishings. I think designer Christine Lane does an exceptional job with this. It’s always nice to get inspiration from other designers to try incorporate some into my own work. The moulding and milwork in these pictures is beautiful. And I really like how she doesn’t “overdecorate” her spaces with too many accessories or unnecessary furniture. In her work, less is definitely more.
This is from a different project she did, with an entirely different feel to it. I still love it though. She did a nice job contrasting rustic and soft.
Artist and designer Helen Amy Murray does amazing work with different materials. Enjoy.
Some details of her leather work.
This wall design was for a private commission she did in London. The material is a wool and cashmere. I adore this.
And another fun chair of hers…
Okay, I watch 902190. The old and the new. Although I have been a little disappointed with the newer spin-off (maybe I’ve grown up?). But that’s an entire different subject. I have enjoyed watching the beautiful Beverly Hills Estates’ interiors and fashions. Alright, maybe I do get a little giddy for the Kansas City girl when the tall, dark and handsome rich boy asks her out. But I couldn’t help to get excited when I saw a dress of mine on the show! These pictures don’t seem to match, but trust me, that was my dress. I rewound my DVR three times to make sure.
Now Jennie Garth (Kelly Taylor) wears it a little differently than I do: unbuttoned low and a lot shorter. Although now that I think about it, I don’t really know if this is a good thing. Which character would I rather see in one of my outfits: the fun, fashionable, young high-schoolers of West Beverly High or the Guidance Counselor?
Not only does Southern Sassy Pants have a great name (I’m originally from Texas), they have fun personalized embroidered pillows too!
These fun tea towels from Tikoli almost make me want to spend more time in the kitchen. Almost.
