In honor of one of my best friends who happens to be the hottest cowgirl I know; I thought I’d post about horses. Never mind the fact that I’ve also been noticing a trend in artwork lately: large horse graphics/art pieces. What do you think? I kind of like it.

I’m on the hunt for an online wallpaper source. I’m diggin’ these by Modern Chic Home. Unfortunately, none of these are what I’m needing. But maybe someone else can use these…

I’m a huge Elle fan. While online trying to find something from this month’s issue, I came across this great article on refurbishing an old 1912 barn. Check out these photos!

In honor of Earth Day I thought I’d post about one of my favorite eco-friendly furniture companies: Viva Terra. Their use of reclaimed or sustainable wood along with bamboo and organic textiles make is easy to leave less of your carbon foot-print.

I pulled the yoga mat outside, turned on our fountain, and did some relaxing poses and stretches. It’s amazing what getting outside and taking some deep breaths will do to renew your spirits. What have you done to be aware of the Earth today?

My sister and her husband are stuck there, my friend just got back from there. I want to go back there. We had one of the most magical times while visiting Italy. Mick wasn’t attached to his email, we stayed with some great friends, and of course ate the best food and saw the most amazing things. Here’s to Italy. Images from the talented Annie Randall.

For these red cubes.

Granted, I saw them in December in a TJMaxx; but at least we know they sell them. I saw them for a client there and thought we could use them in a design. Once we got them in the space, it just wasn’t working out. Then while I was out at the Jonathan Adler store here oooohing over his designs and saw them! This picture doesn’t really show their greatness, but they really are fun for a space. They can be great bookcases or side tables.
Aaaaand here’s a little more Jonathan Adler for your drooling needs…

Only six more weeks left to go!! I’m getting excited to meet this little fella. My oldest sister was born six weeks early…talk about reality hitting you. Once my mother brought that to my recollection I’ve started to panic. The primer is on the walls, and this afternoon it will be the prettiest “Heavenly Blue” you’ll ever see. As for now, here are the belly bumps many of you have been asking for. All in my work-out glory…

…AGAIN. Our place is up for rent again. If you, your brother, your sister, mother…whoever is looking for a two bedroom, two bath place. Send them our way!! We have two housing expenses right now. Not the most fun with a baby on the way. Anyone responsible, we’ll take!

My brother is getting married!! We’re so excited for these two! Their engagement pictures were taken by none other then the talent Annie Randall. Aren’t they so fun?!

Not only are we getting an awesome sister-in-law, but we’re getting a new nephew too! They make the perfect little family…

And you can tell these two just adore each other…

We are all lovers of Target. Their ingenious way of making high-end trends for the everyday person has proven to be very successful. Recruiting such designers as Liberty of London, Isaac Mizrahi, and Orla Kiely has definitely set them apart. In my home designs I do both high end as well as budget friendly. So as I’ve been shopping I’ve noticed something interesting with a few of Target’s designs.
While not identical I think this wall covering by Romo looks very similar to Target’s. Romo vs Target:

Or these tw0…Romo vs Target:

These fabrics look almost identical. Target doesn’t advertise that they’re Thomas Paul designs, so I wonder if they’re *ahem* designed by anyone else.

Anybody else spend way too much time browsing through the Sartoriolist’s site? I love how he finds everyday fashions from all over the world. Like this lady from Moscow. That red coat with the bright blue building is stunning.

And, of course, how adorable is little boy? Just you wait. Our little one will be rocking the stripes, blazer, skinnies with sneakers, and straw hat…

I have a hard time spending more than $30 on a necklace. If you don’t, you should check out 24 Karas. Beautiful, simple, dainty designs. I like the contrast of this gear one. The industrial look of gears along with the simple chain. So pretty!

While I’m out visiting family, I thought I’d take advantage of the inexpensive fabric stores. I’m on the hunt for a nice, white linen for our headboard. I’m loving the color combination yellow and and turquoise. Something like this, but with more white than black…ooooh I LOVE it.

Hello! I hope you all had a wonderful Easter Weekend. We were lucky to be able to spend it in Arizona with my family. In fact, I’m still here hanging out with them. I saw this picture and thought of my sweet husband who went back home to work. Thanks for working. Thanks for letting me play longer.

The new color for 2010. If you don’t have the guts or budget to wallpaper an entire room…

you can always take it down a notch by adding the color with a cute ceramic monkey…

or a nice table cloth.

Lovely, happy, dinner plates for your spring barbecues.
