Well it’s almost been a month now. Oh how time flies!!! We’ve been enjoying our time with little Sam. He is quite the sparty-pants and in his ripe, young age has already taken on many hobbies. Some of his favorite past-time activities include: pooing, sleeping, hanging out in his swing, listening to his mother sing and play the piano (quite badly, but he’s her number one fan), sucking on his hand, and his favorite: eating. Heaven help me for when he becomes a teenager and eats us out of our home. I’m not going to lie; I’ve felt like a cow these past couple days. According to my resources, he’s going through a growth spurt. So hopefully these hourly-feedings will calm down. Although, I will admit I get a little jealous when Mick steps in and helps feed him.
It’s amazing how quickly and real love can be. While we’ve only had him a month, I wonder what life would be like without him. Our home has changed for the better. We’re kinder towards one another, serve each other more, and seem to laugh and find happiness in the simple things. Sam has been quite the entertainer and has taken on many names. Many given by his father: Sam & Sammy (obviously), Sambo, Samuri, Sam the Man, Samuelson, Samsonite, Samzinho (Portuguese for “Little Sam”), Wiggles, Peanut, and Monkey.
Thanks to my friend who was in town last week and took these pictures of Sam. I can’t help but think he looks like a little old man and has a serious case of Benjamin Button. His furrowed little brow and seriousness are just too dang cute. One day I’ll get a picture of Sam’s Moro reflex. With his really long arms he looks like a little gangsta saying “what?” Can you imagine it? Thanks for letting me gush about our little guy. We’re quite enamored with him.

Darling! Love the gangsta signs. Glad you guys are enjoying being parents!
It IS amazing how fast you can fall in love with them, huh? Despite the constant feedings and sleepless nights, these days are priceless. I wish I could hold that little cutie! He is so little and has such sweet, delicate features! Hope to meet him real soon…
Oh my gosh he is darling. Congratulations!
The funny thing is I can totally see the gangsta signs. I’m glad you two are kinder to each other. Sometimes (during colicky times) we are not the nicest to each other, followed shortly by apologies. Talk about stressful.
He really is so cute. Congratulations.
