The new color for 2010. If you don’t have the guts or budget to wallpaper an entire room…
you can always take it down a notch by adding the color with a cute ceramic monkey…
or a nice table cloth.
I think I want this in our son’s nursery. Maybe. Okay, yes.
Since tribal, global patterns are all the rage right now, here are some great prints for your by Hammocks and High Tea. Beautiful, bright, tropical color pallets can add a punch of color to any room. I think the drawer liners are too pretty to be tucked away in a drawer, perhaps framing them and making a colorful collage could be fun…
Great deal on a beautiful mirror. Make sure you check the dimension, it’s a little smaller than I expected (about a two foot diameter). I already have a star burst mirror, but I love them so much. They’re a great form of art as well as a great way to open up any room.
In honor of all the flowers given this weekend, here are some lovely vases by Graham and Green.
While on our five hour hunt for a coffee table this weekend, we came across The Curiosity Shoppe. I’ve seen their site, and browsed their collection online (you should too, fun stuff!), but seeing their quirky collections in person was fun. It goes against a my design philosophy: clutter and nik-naks. But a lot of their things could be useful. Like this ceramic trophy vase! I’ve built up the collection of vases. And there are only two I use in my home decor. One bought in Thailand, the other bought from my sweetheart. I can imagine this up on my mantel everyday. Like any prized trophy.
As a designer, there are plenty of times where I’m looking for just the right piece. Be it furniture, art, or accessories. For furniture, I usually resort to designing my own piece and having my upholsterer construct it. For art and accessories, that’s where the hunting comes in. For rugs and throw pillows, Jonathan Adler has now solved the problem. Now offering a unique feature, Jonathan Adler offers anyone to design the size and color of a rug from a collection of patterns. This is the one I came up with. Titled Grassy Knoll (I grew up in Dallas).
Not very original, but it only took me about five seconds. Now, my friends, BE WARNED: the pricing is not cheap. With a combination of Jonathan Adler’s prices, custom, and wool materials, these rugs can get pretty high in price. I don’t know if I’ll ever actually use this service for a client, but it’s still fun too play!
Simple and delicate ceramics by Gleena. The prices are wonderful too…
Some people have special plates for their kid’s birthday, others might want a dunce plate for when they’re misbehaving. Although the price is pretty steep to spend on a unruly child.
Simple, and beautiful dotted vase found over at Baily Doesn’t Bark.
Designer Dror has some fun products coming out. He’s all about movement with his pieces.
Ya’ll know how big a Target fan I am. Great design for great prices. Here’s a video on Dror. Home decor items come out June 21, stationary comes out July 12.
I’m a big Rose and Grey fan. Loving their bike and birdcage pillows. Simple, but quirky.
Dear Carol, This is what I was telling you about. Vintagey, cutesy decals…with a touch of glam. The decals by house of three are jeweled! Ooh lala.
A fun gift for the mother in your life…from Baily Doesn’t Bark. Or maybe just for my mother, since she lives far away. And I miss her. A lot.
