It’s no secret we like to dance.  It was, however, a secret to me that Mick was on the dance team while at school at Princeton.  Okay, maybe not a secret; but he was really nervous to tell me when we were dating.  When you think dance team you think leotards, pirouettes, and plies right? Me too.  Hence the hesitation from my then-long-distance-boyfriend; now husband.  Long explanation short: Mick danced hip hop while at school.

That’s not the point of this post.  Whenever I cook something new and/or good Mick does the happy dance.  I know I’ve done a good job when his feet start pivoting and his hips start swinging.  The funny part is he’s never known he does this.  Last night after broiling s’mores the happy dance came out I called him out on it.  Who knew something so simple would get such a reaction?

Welp, there’s nothing more humiliating than you and your husband dancing in the living room plastered all over the internet.  Sticking with today’s dance theme, I thought my lovely readers would like to get to know us a little better.  So, here you have it: The Slumdog Millionaire Dance Video.  Nothing like a little Bollywood dancing to get you in the Valentine’s mood.

While it does look like we were very serious, I was actually biting my tongue, trying not to laugh.  Hope you enjoyed it!

I watched the NBA all-star game last night. A great show. Lots of dunking. No defense. Fun times.

Anyway, we’ve all been able to get to know Shaq a little better these days cuz of his twitter account. Yes that’s the real him and yes he’s funny slash awesome.

Anyway…during intros of the game, Shaq did a little dance with the Jabbawockeez, winners of America’s Best Dance Crew. The dance was quite entertaining. Shaq knows how to move and groove with that big body of his. See video below.

Haagen Dazs is doing an interesting campaign to help save honey bees and spread awareness.  Bee pollination is apparently a key ingredient for most of their ice cream flavors.  Anyway, the reason I found it was because of this funny video and the Bee Boy Dance Crew.

It is a fact of nature: When a honey bee returns to the hive after finding a good source of nectar, it will perform a unique dance for its hive mates, detailing the distance, quality and quantity of the new food supply.

Sadly, honey bees are mysteriously vanishing in staggering numbers – a crisis known as Colony Collapse disorder – which is alarming considering honey bees are responsible for pollinating one-third of our natural food supply.

Since we are on the subject of Dance…i figured i’d add one more to the mix:  Matt Harding traveled the world and started a tourist dancing-movement. He does the same move over and over and he has absolutely no rhythm.  But it’s still awesome.  14 months in the making, 42 countries, and a cast of thousands.

Rachel and I are thinking of learning this routine for fun.  It’s an amazing lyrical hip hop piece.  It’s about a guy going off to work.  I really enjoyed it.  One of my favorite pieces so far this year.  By the way, that girl is from Orem, Utah. Jump to 2 minutes and 45 seconds into it to see the routine.

Let’s see how long this clip lasts on Youtube before Fox asks them to take it down.  Don’t be surprised if it says “no longer available” when you try to play it.
