SF Baby Shower

A week ago was my beautiful baby shower. I’m so lucky to have made friends here and to have such a strong support group. The host, Tracy, did a fabulous job with the food and drinks…

and games…

there were some great gifts given…

like these adorable Uggs. These will be perfect for the cold SF summers.

All three of us are due within three weeks of each other. It has been really nice being able to talk with someone else who’s going through the same pregnancy process. I can’t wait for all our little ones to play so we can have fun play dates!!

This was taken at one of the aforementioned girls’ shower, but these are some of my close friends here in the city. V and H, you girls are great! :)

I had a blast at my shower and was literally showered with great company and much needed gifts for our little guy. I never thought I’d have such a strong support group after just recently moving to a new area. The girls here are great. Thanks to all who came!!!

PS. Ashley and Kelsee, I’m still waiting for those pics from the AZ shower…

I pulled the yoga mat outside, turned on our fountain, and did some relaxing poses and stretches. It’s amazing what getting outside and taking some deep breaths will do to renew your spirits. What have you done to be aware of the Earth today?

I got an email from my dad this morning: “Here is my view out my bathroom window while I was shaving this morning.”

I LOVE Wisteria. Such a beautiful vine. Ours in our garden is showing sure signs of budding…no blooms yet. I can’t wait!

Beautiful Outdoors

With yesterday’s holiday and the fun summer weather, I have really been enjoying the outside. It is important to make your outdoors just as inviting as your indoors. If you have nice curb appeal and a well kept backyard, then you just added another room and living area to your home! This home’s garden is absolutely beautiful. My favorite is the last picture of the garage…they made your typical driveway gorgeous with the roses above the door and the stone design in the pavement.

Lavender Days

Tomorrow I will be speaking at the Lavender Days Festival in Mona. It should be a pretty fun weekend. Aside from their 120 acres of lavender to walk through and enjoy, Lavender Days has pony rides, paddle boats, professional jousting, live entertainment, food and products from local vendors and educational classes (that’s where I come in). The title of my class is “Interior Decorating with Mother Nature’s Help.” It will essentially be a class about bringing the outdoors in this summer with some flower arranging tips and techniques. I will be talking about which flowers are the easiest and most successful to grow from seed and that will work well in arrangements. Ya’ll should check it out, it should be fun. In American Fork off main street there is the cutest flower and gift shop. Sweet Pea Floral. I stopped by there today to get some flowers for my sick girlfriend and fell in love with some of their arrangements.
