Wahoo!! The Olympics! I’m not a huge sports-watcher, but how can you deny the Olympics?! There’s nothing like the entire country coming together rooting for an Olympian to set a record, reach a dream, and win the gold. My two favorite winter events: speed skating and figure skater. Can’t wait. Here’s a beautiful time-lapse video of Vancouver City. Brrrr, it looks frigid!! Don’t forget, the opening ceremonies are tonight!
Alright already! You’ve asked for it, here’s my bump. There’s nothing more awkward than taking a profile picture of your body. Actually, there is: taking a profile picture of your body five moths pregnant! Apparently my cardigan doesn’t show enough of my sexy silhouette, so Mick made me take it off. I felt very vulnerable. Please note, I don’t usually go around with this tight of clothing on…this just helps even more with my self-conscious self posting pictures.
The sun was shining, our tummies were full, and Pixi really needed to get out after a week of rain. We spent Sunday afternoon strolling through the iconic Alamo Square Park. We got our fix of people-watching the other park-goers while Pixi explored her options in the “no leash” part of the park. She was pretty social until the bigger dogs wanted to say hi…
I came across this blog yesterday and had the best laugh. The blog is a collection of images from Dwell and hilarious commentary written by the author. I recommend scrolling through the blog, all of them are so funny, but these are my favorite:
You can come out when you can properly explain the differences between Modernist architecture and postmodern ornamentation.

It was unclear how her life had become so riddled with obvious metaphors.

Still recovering from broken trust, neither wanted to be the first to try the eggs.

He sipped his tepid coffee and pondered how to tell her that, in fact, the pants made the sack dress even less appealing.

Everyone always leaves.

Very appropriate title for this Polaroid…and day. Luckily our side of the city doesn’t get too much fog; however, we’re not exempt from all this rain!! It’s been crazy! There’s been flooding out in the suburbs, and even Pixi isn’t wanting to go out. I heard SF had a rainy season, but I didn’t think it’d be this bad! At least we get a happy summer…right?
Maybe it’s because Mick served his LDS mission close by Rio de Janeiro, but I always love these pictures the taken by the Sartorialist. I love the colors in this picture.
Beautiful ideas for table settings captured by photographer Gemma Comas. I don’t know if it’s too small, but that branch has a name stamped onto it. Oh so cute. And those egg shells! So delicate and simple I love it.
Oh Lady Gaga, such an interesting character. In honor of the Met’s production of Hansel and Gretel, Vogue did a beautiful spread to which includes designers like Dolce & Gabbana, Dior, and Nicolas Ghesquière. It’s absolutely beautiful. Notice Lady Gaga’s debut as the witch in the fire.

Three years today. Oh my, how time flies! Some days he just gets me. Others, I feel like I need to hit him on the head with a frying pan so we can see eye to eye. But how fun would it be married to someone who knows what I’m going to say before I say it?!
Is it sad the only time we pull out our camera is when we’re traveling? Nonetheless, Europe was what we had been planning and saving for for years. Aside from traveling, we’ve gotten to do a lot these past three years. Both together and as individuals, and I am so happy with where we both are in our lives. I mean, three years ago I would have never thought I’d be making dance videos and posting them on youtube…
There are few times little girls can pull off the black nail polish and look oh-so adorable.
I like to think my niece gets her sass from me, but this picture just screams her mom. :)

I disappeared the last half of the week and took off to San Fransisco. Yes, the rumors are true. Mick and I will be packing up our bags this Christmas and relocating to The City by the Bay. Quite an exciting time for us. For those of you who don’t know, Mick is one of the founders of Zinch.com, a website that helps connects high school students with colleges. Things have been going very well for the company and we feel very blessed and honored to be a part of the changes. I’m in a mad rush with my current clients to finish projects before I move, so blogging might be a little slow for me.
We will be living in the city, close to Zinch’s new office. So if anybody has any advice or recommendations, we’d be glad to listen. :)

LOVE Toast’s new fall line for the home. The catalog images make me want to cuddle up and sip hot chocolate. I’ll admit, all these new fall lines do make me a little excited for fall…because of the sweaters. Not because of the cold. I’d gladly wear sweaters in the summer if I didn’t get crazy looks.
I should have ridden around Rome on a Vespa with this fancy helmet. Photogapher Fulvio Bonavia does some fantastic work with flowers and fruit.
